Default If i knew who did this!!!

I was partying with a few people just now in Grenths and our team killed flint. He dropped a fleshcleaver for me.
Just as i was about to pick it up, some idiot deliberately zoned us into the furnace...making me lose my green item.

It wasn't as if i was even stood around looking at the loot and the party had moved on...the fireballs were still raining to the ground from our elementalist and others were picking up bits of loot.

If i knew who it was...

Lets hope this doesn't catch on. Just another reason to take henchmen. Never again will i party with people. I swear it.

stuff like this happens all the time in Guild Wars. it's been happening since the game came out.

there is an inherent problem with allowing anyone in the party to zone the whole party any time he wants to, even against their will

good solution would be to make it so that only the party leader can activate the zone process.

Well, i know who did it.

The other monk on the group wanted to go inside. He/she even said "Better inside" "cya".

This appeared in the chat a short while before we killed flint and i wondered why i was the only one healing. Obviously this idiot was standing next to the portal, waiting for him to drop his loot...just to spite us for wanting to stay outside.

EDIT - Why do we have to lose loot like that? A "take all" button is needed like after mission completion.

that would cause huge problems for parties that were slautered and are being saved by the one competent player that thought well enough to go zone the team.

I had something sort of similar happen before. We killed that dude and a green water staff dropped for me. I didn't notice it drop, too busy paying attention to everything else and three of the party members caught on to what I had missed, so they all stood around it hoping to get it as soon as it timed out and become free for all.

The rest of the group had charged ahead to fight some more and they started dropping because our monks were part of that group standing there. Noone else realised they were staying back. Of course I started running towards them to bring them up, but they dropped too fast and I had to get out of there, 1hp from dying from conjure phantasm when troll unguent kicked in. I was promptly told that I had a green item for me by my guildie (who had died), picked it up and of course the people standing around left immediately.

I can't believe some of these people so desperate over it. If one of my other guildies wasn't a hydromancer, I would have promptly just salvaged it for wood or some shit or sold it to the trader. Funny as hell though. The best part was when the dead people started accusing me of sabotaging the quest in order to get the weapon.

I woulda just picked it up and randomly chosen one of them to give it to...if it's gonna make their day better then why not? it's not like the green weapons are any better than any of the other weapons in the game. Some people are stupid enough to think this game has "uber" weapons

The ones who wanted it left as soon as I picked it up and the ones complaining were dead in the midst of a mob, also leaving after they realised it was futile. It's got a good home with a hydromancer anyway

Personally, I've benefited more from the 'anyone can zone' feature than been hurt by it.

Maybe it's because I don't party with random idiots...?

Get a good guild, guys. NEVER farm with anyone outside of your guild or circle of friends.

I'm lucky enough to have a guild that's that trustworthy, at least.

Greens outside of SF are worthless anyways, since they're getting farmed to hell. It's the ones deap in SF you want to be worried about.

Well, I feel good about my guild, anyway.

PM me sometime in game if you want to party... I'm an officer, too, so if I like you I'll let you in.

Seriously, folks, you want to find out if you can trust people before you go running off and doing quests that are important to you, or farming for valuable items.

People here are talking about nice guild that's fun to party with for Sorrows, where people won't steal your items but instead give you theirs if you can use them better, not a guild whose sole purpose is to take HoH.

Plenty of the first kind on Euro servers.

I'm so tired of hearing the same answeR: "Join a guild!"

Sure, its the easiest way, but joining guilds that are worth it is nearly impossible.
